Polar Bears in Rome?

When we started our discussion in class today about the gradual evolution of animal sacrifice in the Roman Coliseum I was amazed to hear that Polar Bears were used in the Hunts. I found that tidbit to be very interesting and so I searched "Polar Bears in Rome". What I found next was pretty interesting, a couple of photographs of homeless Polar Bears wielding cardboard signs and tin cups, protesting in the streets of Italy. I think that it is worth cheeking out for you self.
